Road Test – 2016 Ford Edge Sport

2016 Ford Edge Sport, Iain Shankland, Road-Test.orgI’ve driven every model of the Edge right from when it was launched back in 2007 and every iteration improved on the previous version – quite extensively in some cases, so naturally the new 2016 model was going to be terrific, right? And for a bonus I got my hands on the Sport model – by far the best-looking version of this CUV/SUV. I LOVE the look of this (not the colour though), but this was going to be a week of fun, enjoyment and drooling. WRONG!!! Oh dear, this was not what I’d expected. Read the rest of this entry »

Road Test – 2016 Land Rover Discovery Sport

Land Rover Discovery Sport, Iain Shankland, Road-Test.orgI really love the look of the 2016 Land Rover Discovery Sport (all-new in 2015) – not to be confused with the LR4 or Evoque! Road Test: 2012 Ford Edge Limited AWD

Text / Images: Iain Shankland

It’s been a while since I last drove the Ford Edge, so since they’ve re-designed it I thought now would be the perfect time to get behind the wheel again.

I’ve always liked the Edge, but its new duds make it look quite unique and quite attractive from the front. The rear hasn’t changed much unless you view them side by side – that’s the only way to really differentiate the improvements.
