Agreement with Patrick Racing for Research and Development
The International Motor Sports Association (IMSA), sanctioning body for the American Le Mans Series presented by Tequila Patrón, announced that it has entered into an agreement with Jackson, Mich.-based Patrick Racing to research and develop natural gas as an alternative fuel for the Series’ Prototype Challenge cars.

Mercedes’ highly-anticipated 2012 car made its track debut this week during a secret test day at Silverstone.
“Lots of questions about Silverstone and shakedowns,” admitted the Northamptonshire based team on Twitter on Thursday. Youtube video footage, captured by a trackside observer, showed the ‘step’ nose W03 turning laps at the British grand prix venue, which is located just a 15-minute drive from the German team’s Brackley headquarters.
The first two qualifying heats took place today in each classes.
As a reminder, drivers will race in three heat races and they score points in each. After the 3rd heat, top 28 in the standings point system will go directly to the final round on Saturday while the last 6 spots available will be determined by the Second chance race.
Superleague Formula Series has relocated its operations headquarters to the world famous Silverstone Circuit in the UK.
After coordinating its first four seasons of competition from Barcelona, the nations cup series has moved to the home of British motorsport from where the remainder of this season’s championship and forthcoming 2012 campaign will be directed.
