Raikkonen a no-show in Abu Dhabi
Amid reports Kimi Raikkonen’s relationship with Lotus was broken irreparably in India, the Finn did not show up in Abu Dhabi on Thursday. As Kimi Raikkonen finally turned up in Abu Dhabi to practice for Sunday’s Abu Dhabi grand prix, Lotus team owner Gerard Lopez on Friday insisted the relationship with the taciturn Finn remains intact.

Barely a day after Kimi Raikkonen won Sunday’s thrilling grand prix at Yas Marina, the track will return to life on Tuesday when the final three day ‘young driver test’ begins. Six teams have already run their young driver days this year, so just Red Bull, McLaren, Lotus, Sauber, Toro Rosso and Caterham have stayed behind in Abu Dhabi for the session.

Ferrari’s frantic push for the 2012 title has spilled into the world of paperwork, media reports from the scene of the Abu Dhabi grand prix have proved. Ferrari this week asked a question to the FIA about championship contender Red Bull’s car, according to the Spanish sports daily AS.
The boss of Abu Dhabi’s F1 circuit has criticised plans to run the young driver test at Silverstone later this year.
Originally, the young driver test was scheduled to take place as usual this year at Yas Marina, the week after the Abu Dhabi grand prix. But, due to the calendar congestion at the end of this season, the majority of teams have decided instead to go to Silverstone in July, with only the two Red Bull-owned teams sticking with the Abu Dhabi plan.
