The third edition of the Team Canada Scholarship will grow to include two young Canadian drivers.
The focus will continue to be the world renown Formula Ford Festival held at Brands Hatch, England in late October. After a very successful debut in 2011 with the first Canadian on pole for the final and leading the early laps, the program continued in 2012 and once again showcased the talent that Canada has in the junior formula car ranks.

A look back at a challenging year
Nathan Blok, the 18-year old 2011 Formula 1600 Champion, claimed his second consecutive Formula Tour 1600 Championship despite formidable odds against him. Motorsports can easily consume the largest budgets and Team Blok runs solely on sponsorships and economic conditions make season-long deals hard to come by.

With three races to go; down the stretch they come – No one is happier than D.J. Kennington
In the Wahta Springs 300 on Saturday, Sept. 8 at Barrie (Ont.) Speedway the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series presented by Mobil 1 takes to an oval track for the first time since July 25. And Kennington is happy not only because he won that evening in Saskatoon, Sask., but also for the fact that he has emerged victorious in each of the four races on ovals this season.

Marc-Antoine Camirand fastest in the first practice session this morning in CTCC
The 36 drivers entered in the Canadian Touring Championship GP3R cars inaugurated the activities of the weekend on Friday morning at 10:00 for a stack of free practice session of 30 minutes.

Chris held off the hard charging Olivier Bonnet and Nathan Blok
Following up his recent podiums at Mont Tremblant and Trois Rivieres, New Zealander Chris Vlok captured the win at the ICAR circuit located in Mirabel Quebec. From his 4th starting spot Chris quickly moved forward and within a few laps was running a solid second place behind recently named Team Canada Scholarship driver Xavier Coupal. When Coupal ran into mechanical problems Chris grabbed the lead and held off the hard charging Olivier Bonnet and Nathan Blok.

Team Canada Racing scholarship announces 2011 winner!
Xavier Coupal from Quebec has been chosen as the very first winner of the inaugural Team Canada Racing Scholarship! Enjoying a superb season in the very competitive Formula Tour 1600 Series, Xavier has consistently shown great speed, race craft, and sportsmanship. His experience in karting internationally will be an asset as he takes on a whole new group of FF racers from around the world.

Team Canada Scholarship to the festival announces finalists!
With the half-way point of the season now past, the selections have been made, and it was clear that Canada has a great number of young up and coming drivers who could all represent our country well! The 3 finalists will be gathering for an intensive interview process on August 29th, and shortly thereafter, one driver will be selected to be the very first winner of the annual Scholarship. The interviews will take place at Mosport International Raceway, the world renowned track known for producing some of this country’s greatest drivers.

Five top-5 and two podiums in Tremblant
“Ontario team takes five top fives and two podiums in Quebec Formula Ford Championship opener at Circuit Mont Tremblant”. Britain West Motorsport, Canada’s leading Formula Ford competition group, headed to the beautiful Circuit Mont-Tremblant for the Classique du Printemps (Spring Classic) with a four car effort.

Another race event added to the Grand Prix schedule
A gathering of nearly 40 drivers, that will include a mix of seasoned veterans and young hopefuls, will once again line up on the starting grid of Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, next June 10, 11 & 12, for a round of the 2011 Formula 1600 Series schedule. Octane Racing Group, promoter of the event has announced today the return of one of the Montréal crowd favourite open-wheel series at the Grand Prix du Canada.

Third in the F2000 Championship concluded two weeks ago, Remy Audette just added another event to his 2009 racing season. Audette has confirmed his participation in the Formula Tour 1600 at Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve part of the NASCAR program in Montreal this weekend.
