Veteran rider back in the WorldSBK paddock to partner Championship contender Davies
Marco Melandri is set to make a return to the World Superbike paddock in 2017, as the Aruba.it Racing – Ducati team announce the Italian as partner to staying talent Chaz Davies. Davies was widely expected to stay with the Borgo Panigale factory as has been officially confirmed to be doing so.

2013 WorldSBK Champion re-signs for two years
After recently starting his 200th WorldSBK race, KRT rider Tom Sykes has signed a further 2 year contract with the Japanese factory to stay on the ZX-10R for another two seasons. Sykes, who completed his Misano weekend with two second places from pole, will continue as a key member of the Kawasaki team both on and off track.
Entry to Tissot-Superpole 2 decided as American legend leads the way
The first day of track action at Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli saw Kentucky Kid Nicky Hayden set the fastest lap of the day, as the American WorldSBK rookie put his Honda at the top of the timesheets. Misano veteran Hayden headed fellow WorldSBK rookie Markus Reiterberger in P2 in an impressive showing for Althea BMW, ahead of KRT rider Tom Sykes – the man who has been on pole for the last 4 weekends at Misano.
KRT duo duel it out at Donington
An incredible start for the Kawasaki Racing Team pairing of Tom Sykes and Jonathan Rea saw the two Brits escape at the front of the race, beginning a more than twenty lap tussle that eventually saw Sykes earn an eighth victory at the Derbyshire track. Reigning Champion Rea crossed the line in P2 to take another podium and keep his incredible haul of points for the title increasing, and Ducati’s Chaz Davies found redemption after a tricky Race 1 in which the Welshman suffered two crashes, completing the podium in third.
The German venue returns in 2016 hosting a round for the FIM Superbike World Championship
As part of the 2016 WorldSBK calendar, Dorna WSBK Organization (DWO) is delighted to announce the partnership with Lausitzring in Germany. The circuit will host an official round of the Motul FIM Superbike World Championship with a signed three-year period (2016-2018).
The series to be broadcast in Brazil until 2018
Major sporting TV network ESPN Brazil has extended the agreement with Dorna WSBK Organization to broadcast the FIM Superbike World Championship for a further three-year period (2016-2018). The top production-based motorcycle racing series in the world will be viewable all over the Brazilian territory in both English and Portuguese languages.
The Italian venue will continue hosting a round of the FIM Superbike World Championship.

Italian company Progrip, for 40 years involved in the production of plastic materials and already with a high-profile presence in motocross racing, will be the series’ Technical Supplier.
