Rosberg says Mercedes ‘very close’ to title challenge

Nico Rosberg has admitted Mercedes’ is not the fastest car in 2012, but insists he is in the running for this year’s title.

McLaren and Red Bull fastest in qualifying, race in 2012

2012 has been described as ‘topsy-turvy’ and a ‘lottery’ that has ended the domination of formula one’s usual greats.

The analysis shows that McLaren and Red Bull, respectively, have been the best teams overall when it comes to pace in the all-out ‘Q2′ qualifying segment, and the actual grands prix.

Rosberg says Mercedes ‘fastest car’ in 2012

Nico Rosberg sounds very confident ahead of this weekend’s European grand prix on the streets of Valencia.

At the same time, Pirelli’s Paul Hembery is reported as having tipped Rosberg’s teammate and Monaco polesitter Michael Schumacher for pole and victory this weekend.
