Tim Paul Signs with AJ Foyt Racing for Indy Lights in 2014

2013 is going to be a turning point for me

IndyLightsOpen-wheel racing and former midget and sprint car driver Timothy Paul of Mahopac, New York, has signed an agreement to race in the Firestone Indy Lights Championship in 2014 for AJ Foyt Racing. Prior to the 2014 season, Paul, who has run competitively in the F2000 Championship Series, will spend 2013 competing in both F2000 and USF2000 in a CellMark Paper-sponsored entry to gain the maximum amount of seat time possible. Audette dominates for VIR win

Audette won by nine seconds at VIR

Remy Audette led flag-to-flag, from pole, to win the second F2000 Series race of the weekend at VIRginia International Raceway over rookie Kyle Connery and Tim Minor. Audette set fast lap en-route to victory, as he lowered the track record during qualifying and then ran away from a stout field during the race, to win by nine seconds. Read the rest of this entry »

Audette breaks track record for VIR pole

Audette was out in front by three tenths

Remy Audette took pole at VIRginia International Raceway, smashing the standing track record by more than half a second, turning in a lap at 1:53.929. The Canadian has so far paced testing and practice throughout the weekend, but battled through a tough qualifying and messy race on Saturday to finish in fourth as he charged through the field in the rain. Connery on pole despite crash at VIR (+grid)

F2000 new logoA lengthy session stoppage on a slightly damp track awarded Kyle Connery, a rookie driver from the karting ranks, his first ever F2000 pole in his first ever F2000 qualifying session. A badly timed and long black flag period created an interesting grid order, and as the track went green in the closing minutes, Connery suffered a massive crash in his #91 Van Diemen/Zetec.
