Koiranen GP driver on top in GP3 pre-season test in Spain
Koiranen GP’s Matthew Parry posted the quickest time this morning on a wet track at Circuit Ricardo Tormo in Valencia on the second day of pre-season testing. The Brit’s best lap was 0.064’s faster than ART Grand Prix’s Nirei Fukuzumi. Ferrari Driver Academy and fellow ART GP debutant Charles Leclerc clocked the fastest time in the afternoon session.

Trident’s Artur Janosz recorded the best time on day one of pre-season testing in Valencia with a 1:21.755 which was set in the morning session. Koiranen GP’s Matthew Parry topped the afternoon times in a 1:21.932 at Circuit Ricardo Tormo.

GP3 Series organisers are pleased to announce the 2016 calendar for the upcoming season. Once again, the Series will be contested over a total of nine rounds – all of which are support events to the Formula One World Championship. Seven rounds will be held on European soil, with two flyaway events concluding the campaign. There is a new venue on the calendar with the addition of Sepang in Malaysia to the category.

The 2016 season will be the 68th edition of the MotoGP™ World Championship and will run over 18 Grands Prix in four continents and fifteen different countries. After preseason tests in Sepang, Philip Island and Losail the first race will be held in Qatar on the 20th of March, starting an eight-month battle for the title, concluding in Valencia on the 13th of November.

Every single MotoGP™ rider improved their times from Tuesday as they continued to adapt to the new machinery, with Repsol Honda’s Marc Marquez setting the quickest time over the two days, a 1’31.060.

Spaniard Alex Palou posted the fastest time on day two of pre-season testing in Valencia. The Campos Racing driver edged out ART Grand Prix’s Marvin Kirchhöfer by a mere 0.012s with a blazing laptime of 1:20.880 set in the morning session. Jenzer Motorsport’s Pal Varhaug recorded the quickest time in the afternoon.
