Large accident on first lap brought race to an early close

GP2 - Sprint race cancelled due to barrier damage This afternoon’s sprint race at Yas Marina was cancelled due to substantial damage caused to the barriers after an accident on the first lap of the race. With the red flag shown on the first lap and the damage being unable to be repaired in time the event was closed, and no points will be awarded.

His seventh win of the year also claimed the record for most wins in a season, to his obvious delight as he celebrated on the podium alongside Raffaele Marciello and Mitch Evans.

GP2 - Stoffel Vandoorne (ART Grand Prix), Mitch Evans (RUSSIAN TIME), Alex Lynn (DAMS) Mitch Evans took his second win of the 2015 season in today’s sprint race at Bahrain International Circuit. From P6 on the grid, the RUSSIAN TIME ace was able to move up to the front of the field thanks to a mature drive. He crossed the finish line ahead of Stoffel Vandoorne and Alex Lynn.

ART Grand Prix take team title at Bahrain International Circuit

GP2 - Stoffel Vandoorne, Nobuharu Matsushita (ART Grand Prix) It was a glorious day for Stoffel Vandoorne and Nobuharu Matsushita as the pair finished first and second in today’s action packed feature race at Sakhir. With this result, the teammates gave ART Grand Prix the 2015 Teams’ title. Mitch Evans completed the podium.

Gasly leads the way in MonzaPierre Gasly has opened his Monza weekend in fine style by taking the top spot in this morning’s free practice session at the fabled Italian circuit: the Frenchman stopped the clock at 1:31.669 early in the session for a time which went unanswered by his rivals, with Alexander Rossi and Rio Haryanto the closest to his best lap.
