ADAC GT Masters: Comments after the Spa-Francorchamps race

Observations from the paddock after the first of two ADAC GT Masters races at Spa-Francorchamps

2015-06-20_0046Jens Klingmann (#80 BMW Sports Trophy Team Schubert, BMW Z4 GT3), winner: “There were some great scraps today, but we allowed ourselves plenty of space on the track. If you can fight hard but fair – as it should be in GT racing – and come away with the win, it’s incredible fun. It was important for us to at least finish this time after a difficult start to the season, including a double retirement last time out. I could see on the first lap that our car was very strong. I had to use that to my advantage and went right to the front of the field. All we have to do now is win tomorrow, then all the other races, and we’ll be champions!”

ADAC GT Masters: Comments after Spa-Francorchamps qualifying

Observations from the paddock after qualifying for the third race weekend of the 2015 ADAC GT Masters at Spa-Francorchamps.

2015-06-18 - ThursdaySebastian Asch (#21 Team Zakspeed, Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3), pole position for Race 1: “With the weather being so changeable and rain on the way, I went out right at beginning and put in three laps at full throttle. I had a clear track ahead of me, and our Mercedes-Benz ran perfectly. We have good starting positions for both races, so now we need to convert them into good results.”

FIA Formula 3 European Championship ready for the Spa-Francorchamps challenge

The fifth round of the 2015 FIA Formula 3 European Championship season will be held this weekend at the tradition-rich circuit of Spa-Francorchamps, Belgium.

FIA Formula 3 European Championship logo With Eau Rouge, the 7.004 Ardennes rollercoaster features one of the most famous sections in the motor-racing world and the young drivers are keen on mastering this challenge. Just in his home event at Monza, Italy’s championship leader Antonio Giovinazzi (Jagonya Ayam with Carlin) failed to secure a podium – for the first time this year – so, he is determined to make it back to the rostrum, in Belgium. Total president killed in plane crash

The president of F1 sponsor Total has been killed in a plane crash, the Russian news agency Ria Novosti reports.
