This weekend marks the first pair of races for the Toyo Tires Formula 1600 Championship Series – the premiere open wheel series in Ontario, sanctioned by CASC Ontario Region. The series is comprised of a six event, double-header format and competes at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park, Shannonville Motorsport Park and Calabogie Motorsports Park.
The Canadian Touring Car Championship presented by Continental Tire (CTCC) has confirmed its 2015 calendar.

By claiming pole position for this weekend’s fourth round of the Mopar Canadian Superbike Championship at Le Circuit Mont-Tremblant on Saturday, the Brantford, Ont. racer took his Waznie Racing / Parts Canada / BMW Motorrad Canada BMW S1000RR around the 4.26km (2.65-mile), 15-turn track in one minute, 40.495 seconds (152.535km/h) during Pirelli SuperPole qualifying to stretch his lead by another point in the standings heading into Sunday’s 16-lap race.

Szoke aims to take back Canadian Superbike title
For the first time since 2006 Jordan Szoke will not be wearing the number one plate on his motorcycle. After a record-breaking string of five straight national championships between 2006 and 2010, the Brantford, Ont. ace was beaten to the title by Brett McCormick last season. While McCormick has moved on to the World Superbike wars, Szoke will be looking to reclaim the top spot in Canadian motorcycle road racing this summer.
