After Sepang comes Phillip Island – one step closer to the start of the season
The first official test of the year saw the class of MotoGP™ 2017 out in force at Sepang International Circuit recently, and actions resumes soon at Phillip Island in Australia from February 15th-17th as the countdown to Qatar gets shorter.

Movistar Yamaha newcomer finishes the first test of 2017 fastest. First it was Ducati test rider Casey Stoner, then Team Suzuki Ecstar’s Andrea Iannone – but it was the fastest man from the Valencia test, Maverick Viñales (Movistar Yamaha MotoGP), who hit back on Day 3 to head the timesheets.

Suzuki take the top spot as testing continues in Malaysia. Andrea Iannone (Team Suzuki Ecstar) made the timesheets fantastic reading for his new home Suzuki on Day 2 of the Sepang test, as he smashed Ducati test rider Casey Stoner’s Day 1 pace to set the fastest lap of the test so far.

After two days testing at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo in November following the final GP of 2016, the long winter break is now finally coming to a close as the grid prepare to take to Sepang International Circuit for the first track action of the new season: January 30th – February 1st.
The season finale at the Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia is scheduled to take place from 21 – 22 January 2017.
