Di Grassi sets early pace
Defending champion Sebastien Buemi set a new unofficial track record at the Circuit Moulay El Hassan in second practice for the Marrakesh ePrix. Lucas di Grassi set the pace for Abt Schaeffler Audi Sport in the opening free practice session for this afternoon’s Marrakesh ePrix.
Reigning FIA Formula E Champion Sebastien Buemi got his title defence off to the perfect start with victory in the HKT Hong Kong ePrix
With 30,000 people attending the event, the new Formula E season began with one of the most unpredictable races so far. Buemi hit the front in the second half of the race when Sam Bird pitted for his mandatory car swap. But the DS Virgin Racing car failed to pull out of the pits, allowing Buemi, who had made his stop under the safety car, to take over out front for his seventh Formula E win.
Renault e.dams today concluded its pre-season testing programme ahead of the 2016/17 season
The reigning team champions finished official testing having covered 338 laps of the Donington Park circuit and a total of more than 1,300 kilometres over three days. Combined with the previous three-day test held two weeks ago at the same track, the team’s official testing pre-season kilometre count is now over 2,200km.
Lap times continue to tumble on second day of the final test at Donington Park
Jean-Eric Vergne (TECHEETAH) made it two days in a row as the fastest driver at the final pre-season test at Donington Park. In the process, Vergne, along with Sebastien Buemi (Renault e.Dams), broke the unofficial lap record around the Donington Park GP circuit on three separate occasions and finished the day clocking a 1:29.196s.
