Rubens Barrichello has dismissed as “just rumours” suggestions he could return to formula one next year with Caterham.
The veteran was bitterly disappointed to end his record-setting grand prix career at the end of last year, but was conspicuously present for the last two races of the 2012 season, in the US – where he has been racing Indycars in 2012 – and his native Brazil.
Stefano Domenicali had his head held high when he answered a clear “yes” to a post-race question from the media on Sunday.

Felipe Massa has admitted he is “very close” to agreeing a new deal to stay with Ferrari in 2013.
Blick newspaper reported this week that Ferrari is set to keep the Brazilian for an eighth consecutive season next year, with Germany’s Auto Motor und Sport agreeing that an announcement could be imminent.

Current Formula 1 starts record holder Rubens Barrichello has announced today that will join Medley/Full Time Sports team in the last round of the Brazilian Stock Car Championship in December the 9th at Interlagos. The race, expected to reveal the champion of the season, offers a one million of reais (U$ 500.000) prize to the winner. Barrichello will be partnered by former GP2 series Xandinho Negrão and will make an exclusive test to get to grips with the V8 480 BHP engine on Octoder the 15th at Curitiba circuit.
