Team exhibits fast pace in F1600 Formula F and F2000 Championship Series opening weekend
Exclusive Autosport’s new suite of drivers was quick all weekend long at Road Atlanta, but the team was unable to translate pace into wins in the F1600 Formula F and F2000 Championship Series season opening races.
F1600 Race 1, F1600 Race 2, F2000 Race 1 and Atlantic Race 1
Peter Portante, Steve Bamford and Ryan Norman took the first wins of the F1600, F2000 and Atlantic Championship Series 2016 on Saturday afternoon from Road Atlanta, while the second of three F1600 races saw Neil Verhagen drive to the victory later in the day. All three Series have single races scheduled for Sunday for the season-opening Formula Race Promotions event weekend.

A new chapter of PCA Club Racing history is underway as the inaugural weekend of the PCA Club Racing Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport Trophy East series kicked off with two sprint races Saturday as part of the PCA Club Racing weekend hosted by the Peachstate Region at Road Atlanta in Braselton, Georgia.
Koch, from Glendora, California, completed an event sweep and finished his dominant Lites 1 championship season with his 11th victory in 14 starts in 2015 on Friday, Oct. 2 at Road Atlanta. That win total ties the record set by Tristan Nunez en route to the championship in 2012.
The 2015 victory counter has ticked into the double digits for Kenton Koch.
Koch, 21, from Glendora, California, won Round 13 of the Cooper Tires Prototype Lites Powered by Mazda on Thursday, Oct. 1 at Road Atlanta in the No. 60 JDC Motorsports entry. He started from the pole and beat teammate Matt McMurry to the finish by 4.871 seconds.
