In the return of the World Series by Renault premier class at the Nürburgring, the Spaniard, who was victorious on this same circuit in the Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0 in 2008, set the fastest lap on Friday stopping the clock in 1:42.179 to lead the Red Bull Junior Team drivers, Pierre Gasly (Arden Motorsport) and Carlos Sainz (DAMS).
