Russian ace victorious in the streets of Monte Carlo

GP2 - Artem Markelov (RUSSIAN TIME), Norman Nato (Racing Engineering), Oliver Rowland (MP Motorsport) RUSSIAN TIME’s Artem Markelov has come out victorious from a dramatic feature race in Monaco after having started P15 on the grid. The Russian who was last to pit on lap 38 sustained huge pressure from Norman Nato in the final laps to take his first GP2 win ahead of the Frenchman. Oliver Rowland completed the podium.

Sirotkin flies to Monte Carlo pole

ART Grand Prix driver claims second GP2 pole position

GP2 - Sergey Sirotkin (ART Grand Prix) Sergey Sirotkin was not to be denied today: quickest in free practice, the Russian ace kept the pressure on his rivals during the qualifying session at Monte Carlo by setting a blazing laptime of 1:19.186 in Group B and claiming pole position. Although Norman Nato had been fastest in Group A earlier, his personal best was bettered by seven tenths by Sirotkin. The Frenchman will start from the front row in tomorrow’s feature race. GP2 - Round 1, Barcelona - Feature race top 3 Norman Nato has claimed his first GP2 victory in style, overtaking poleman Pierre Gasly late on in a dramatic season opener in Barcelona and holding on in a feature race which saw three safety car periods before the Frenchman was greeted by the chequered flag ahead of Nicholas Latifi and Gasly.

GP2 - Norman Nato (Racing Engineering) The GP2 Series field is back on track this week for the second 2016 pre-season test session at Circuito de Jerez, Spain. The paddock was greeted by blue skies but cold temperatures. When the pitlane turned green, it was Alex Lynn who fed onto the track first but he was closely followed by his teammate Nicholas Latifi and the rest of the pack.
