Coello reflects on Third Place 2012 Championship

While the title would prove elusive, Coello collected podium after podium until scoring the first and only non-Van Diemen win in Series history in the pouring rain at Summit Point in August en route to a third place Championship effort. La Rocca breaks win record with Watkins Glen drive

Robert La Rocca notched his 10th win of the year

F2000 Championship Series logoAfter starting from pole and briefly losing the lead, Robert La Rocca got around Wyatt Gooden and fended off Gooden on a restart, with the two cars making contact coming to the green and white flags. La Rocca would go onto take his 10th win of the 2012 F2000 Championship season, breaking the existing win record with a bit of drama. La Rocca had already locked up the Championship prior to the race, adding even more points for the pole, and yet another win. 2012 Champion La Rocca leads Friday F2000 practice

F2000 Championship Series logoAhead of the F2000 Championship Series season finale at Watkins Glen International, 2012 Champion Robert La Rocca paced the final 35-car-strong Friday practice session on a frigid day in New York. La Rocca’s fast lap of 1:52.275 was turned just hours after sleet poured down on the 3.4-mile 11-turn road course.

Audette sweeps at Watkins Glen

The third win of 2011 didn’t come easy for Audette in a huge field 

F2000 new logoRemy Audette made it two wins at Watkins Glen in two days, three on the season, and added to his quickly growing championship lead on a Sunday in New York. Audette, now with an impressive six-straight top four finishes, started second and had to fight his way to the point in the #21 Audette Racing Van Diemen from third place, passing Chris Livengood and then Tim Minor for the lead a few laps later. Audette victorious at Watkins Glen

A wild start for F2000 at Watkins Glen, Audette won his second race of 2011 

Remy Audette raced down Kyle Connery and took the lead at Watkins Glen to notch his second win of 2011 and extend his points lead over Connery, who finished second and led the first half of the race.
