Kevin Lacroix dominates at Circuit ICAR

2015-07-04_21508Making history is the current theme for the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series presented by Mobil 1. The series contested its milestone 100th all-time race on June 13 and the following week saw Alex Tagliani lap the field in victory – a series first. Sunday then saw Quebec native Kevin Lacroix dominate the first-caution free race in Canadian Tire Series history and triumph in the Ecko Unlimited 100 at Circuit ICAR.

After struggling initially during practice Ranger and the team bounced back with a strong race effort and claimed a second place finish.

2015:07:05_15:23:58_0102Alex Tagliani scored a third-place finish on Sunday in Round 4 of the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series at Circuit ICAR in Mirabel, Quebec. Starting from the pole, the racer from Lachenaie, Quebec was overtaken on lap 3 by Kevin Lacroix of Saint-Eustache who went on to win the 30-lap race by 0.869 seconds ahead of Andrew Ranger.

Alex Labbé Sixth in caution-free sprint on ICAR road course

2015:07:05_15:24:14_0106Alex Labbé finished in sixth place at Circuit ICAR in Mirabel, aboard his No 36 Lou’s Barbeque – Centre du VR Victoriaville – Mécanique industrielle MG car prepared by Jacombs Racing. The Ecko Unlimited 100 was the first race in NASCAR Canadian Tire Series history to be run without at least one caution period.
