Perazzini scores second Iron Cup victory of the weekend
Mario Cordoni made it five Blancpain GT Sports Club victories in his last six starts this morning after fighting through from fourth on the grid to beat Saturday’s Qualifying Race winner Nicolas Misslin at Misano. Iron Cup victor Pierguiseppe Perazzini again underlined his pace by completing the overall podium.

Giugliano misses out narrowly on maiden victory as Haslam takes final place on the podium
The second race of the PATA Riviera di Rimini round of the eni FIM Superbike World Championship was won by championship Jonathan Rea (Kawasaki Racing Team) after a race long fight with Davide Giugliano (Aruba.it Racing – Ducati Superbike Team).

The opening race of the day at the Misano World circuit “Marco Simoncelli” was won by Tom Sykes (Kawasaki Racing Team) who converted his 27th Pole Position into his 25th career win – his third of the year in front of an enthusiastic Italian crowd. In doing so he once more tied his teammate Jonathan Rea for both number of wins and podium finishes.
The Italian venue will continue hosting a round of the FIM Superbike World Championship.
Dorna WSBK Organization is delighted to announce the renewal of the partnership with the Misano World Circuit “Marco Simoncelli” to host an official round of the FIM Superbike World Championship for a further four-year period (2016-2019).

The sole qualifying session for the World Supersport championship held a short time ago at the Misano World Circuit “Marco Simoncelli” was a thriller, with the outright circuit best being bettered initially by Kenan Sofuoglu (Kawasaki Puccetti Racing) and PJ Jacobsen (CORE’’ Motorsport Thailand Honda), before eventual Pole setter Jules Cluzel (MV Agusta Reparto Corse) demolished it by almost a second.
