Mikhail Goikhberg has earned a prize package worth $100,000 from the International Motor Sports Association (IMSA), including a full-season entry in the Prototype Challenge (PC) class of the 2015 TUDOR United SportsCar Championship, as a reward for winning the Drivers’ Championship in the 2014 Cooper Tires Prototype Lites Powered by Mazda series.

Another record falls as Tristen Nunez wins at Mosport

Rookie holds off race-lap record-setter in Round 8 at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park

2012-07-20_00262012-07-20_0027Yesterday’s Cooper Tires Prototype Lites Powered by Mazda saw points-leader Tristan Nunez of Performance Tech make a strong run from the last spot on the grid. His charge toward the front included a race-lap record, but it wasn’t enough to get by the veteran Jon Brownson of Eurosport Racing or catch the race-winner Mikhail Goikhberg of JDC Motorsports. Nunez would settle for third, behind the second-place Brownson.

Mikhail Goikhberg tops the podium with a Flag-to-Flag lead

Canadian resident sets the pace in qualifying and keeps the lead in Race 7 at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park

2012-07-20_00252012-07-20_0043Coming into the 2012 Mobil 1 Presents the Grand Prix of Mosport, Tristan Nunez of Performance Tech held an 18-point lead over Mikhail Goikhberg of JDC Motorsports in Cooper Tires Prototype Lites Powered by Mazda competition. And in a series that awards 20 points to the race winner, Goikberg was looking to take advantage of Nunez’s unfortunate qualifying experience from earlier in the day.

Scarallo won in style at Road America

Jonathan Scarallo survived an epic drafting battle between four cars and then took the lead with two laps to go and gapped Daniel Erickson to take his first career F2000 victory in style for R-Sport at Road America.
