The Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge will headline Memorial Day weekend at Lime Rock Park, continuing a tradition of holiday competition that dates back to 1967 on the 1.5-mile circuit in Lakeville, Conn. Jake Eidson won again at Lime Rock in the rain

Lap times were incredibly close in the first practice session for the American Le Mans Northeast Grand Prix at Lime Rock Park. The race is Round Four of the American Le Mans Series presented by Tequila Patrón. Muscle Milk Pickett Racing’s Lucas Luhr set the quickest time overall and in P1, while Corvette Racing’s Jan Magnussen set the fastest GT lap.

It’s a short but remarkably quick lap
Even at 1.5 miles and seven turns, Lime Rock Park boasts some of the fastest speeds in the American Le Mans Series presented by Tequila Patrón. Average qualifying and race speeds are well in excess of 100 mph, even for GT cars. Add to that the close quarters and heavy traffic with 32 cars, and the sensation of speed goes up dramatically.
