Dan WheldonDan Wheldon 1978-2011IndyCar Driver Dan Wheldon died in Las Vegas Sunday after his car crashed during a massive 15-car accident during the Las Vegas Indy 300. Wheldon’s car went airborne after hitting another car during Lap 12, then apparently caught part of the catch fence just outside of Turn 2.

IndyCar amends rules to accommodate larger Mid-Ohio field

Full field forced some modifications to the Mid-Ohio regulations

The Indy Racing League has amended a sub-section of its IZOD IndyCar Series rulebook to accommodate 27 entries for this weekend’s Honda Indy 200 at Mid-Ohio. The starting field for each race is a maximum of 28 with the exceptions of 33 for the Indianapolis 500, 26 for Toronto and Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course (which includes two provisionals), and 24 for Brazil based on available pit lane space. However, rule 8.1 (E) (5) (d) was revised to: Mid-Ohio – 27 cars. Read the rest of this entry »

On a clear and crisp morning at Jerez, F1’s ‘young driver’ formula one test kicked off.
