Patrick Laperle claims second straight Castrol title with St-Eustache 300 win

ACT Castrol logo2012-09-16_0448St-Denis, Quebec’s Patrick Laperle claimed his second straight Série ACT Castrol Championship with his fourth win of the season in the St-Eustache 300 at Autodrome St-Eustache on Sunday, September 16. Laperle cruised to the win leading the final 50 laps of the event after getting by Jonathan Bouvrette who held on for second.

ACT Castrol logoAutodrome MontmagnyQuebec City’s Jean-François Déry claimed his third Série ACT Castrol win of the season in the Montmagny 150 at Autodrome Montmagny on Saturday, September 1. Déry inherited the lead on lap 124 after leader Patrick Laperle had a wheel break on the right front. Karl Allard earns wild St-Eustache 300 win

And 2010 Série ACT Castrol Edge Championship

QC – St-Felicien’s Karl Allard claimed the win in the St-Eustache 300 and the 2010 Série ACT Castrol Edge Championship after a wild green-white-checkered finish at Autodrome St-Eustache on Sunday, September 26. Allard took the lead after leaders Patrick Laperle and Jonathan Urlin wrecked coming to the white flag. Laperle and Urlin ended up in the front stretch wall before the start-finish line as Allard snuck through on the low side. André Coursol declared winner in the 100 laps race won on track by Martin Marcoux

Marcoux’ car  found  illegal at post-race inspection

Saturday evening at Autodrome St-Eustache two races of the new Sportman NASCAR Ippersiel series were held, the second race being a 100 lap race. The least we can say is that there was a lot of action on track and also after the race was completed during inspection where the winner Martin Marcoux was disqualified and he had to give back the $2000 purse received on the podium.

Villeneuve debut to wait a day

A large weather system moved into the area at midday, with no relief in sight, and forced the postponement of the Tide 250 at Autodrome St. Eustache. The NASCAR Canadian Tire Series presented by Mobil 1 event is set to take the green flag at 2 p.m. ET Sunday afternoon.
