Porsche denies Toyota at Le Mans in dramatic last lap win
From midnight the duel between Porsche and Toyota for the 24 hour Le Mans race win had intensified but no-one would have expected such an ending. Before the final lap, Toyota seemed to be coming out on top but then the prototype stopped on track.

The reigning world champions Timo Bernhard, Brendon Hartley and Mark Webber claimed pole position with their number 1 car for Saturday’s six-hour race. Next to them on the grid in Spa-Francorchamps is the sister-car number 2 of Romain Dumas, Neel Jani and Marc Lieb.
Scuderia Toro Rosso has announced John Booth has joined its F1 team as a consultant in the role of ‘Director of Racing’. The 61 year-old is one of the founding members of the Manor Racing team, which competed in junior categories for almost two decades before progressing to F1 in 2010 under the Virgin Racing banner, which became Marussia and then back to Manor in 2015.
Manor enjoyed a successful debut into WEC LMP2 at the Prologue with their ORECA 05, completing 156 laps on its first day of running and 86 laps on the second day. This gave a total of a total of 1401.422kms.

James Jakes rejoins Manor
British driver, James Jakes, will return to Manor this season for his debut in the FIA World Endurance Championship. James had previously driven with the team during 2007 in Formula 3 and 2010 in the GP3 series, visiting the podium a number of times, before heading to the USA to compete in the IndyCar Series for the past 4 seasons.
For its 27th year of racing, Manor will compete in the full FIA WEC season including the 24 hours of Le Mans
