CTCC confirms GT Cup Class in 2018

CTCC presented by Pirelli today confirmed the addition of GT Cup class to its categories, beginning in 2018

2017-08-12_0122This new GT Cup class will be comprised of ultra performance race cars such as the Chevrolet Corvette, Dodge Viper, Ferrari 430/458, Nissan GTR and Porsche 991/997 GT3.  GT Cup class race cars will compete on the track concurrently with the existing Touring, Super Touring and GT Sport classes. CTCC introduces a Team Championship for 2015

It has only been a few weeks since we declared our 2014 CTCC champions and planning for next season is in full gear.

CTCC logo2014 was highlighted with a record number of new competitors (15), of which six were true rookies.  As usual the on-track racing was incredible with battles throughout the field.  All of the races were run on a dry track which means that we are yet to use Continental “wets” under race conditions (four years in a row).   Read the rest of this entry »

Dumoulin goes home with the Mayor’s Cup (updated)

The previous winner of the said Cup, Marc-Antoine Camirand, was fourth.

2012-08-05_00672012-08-05_0068The inaugural race of the new Canadian Supercar Series was battled for the historical Mayor’s Cup this weekend at the Grand Prix of Trois-Rivières. During the qualifying session on Friday, Trois-Rivières driver Jean-François Dumoulin was fastest and secured pole position driving the No. 69 Acura NSX.
