Triple V8 Supercar champion Jamie Whincup and five-time 500cc MotoGP world champion Mick Doohan will compete for Team Australia at the 2012 Race Of Champions in Bangkok, Thailand.
Jacques Villeneuve made the finish this time for Kelly Racing, a lap down in 24th.
Jamie Whincup came through from ninth on the grid to narrowly beat Triple Eight team-mate Craig Lowndes and complete a double victory in the V8 Supercars’ Townsville weekend.

Office workers and lunchtime shoppers were treated to taste of what can be expected at next week’s Armor All Gold Coast 600 when they stood metres from a random V8 Supercar pit stop in the middle of Edward Street.
