It has only been a few weeks since we declared our 2014 CTCC champions and planning for next season is in full gear.
2014 was highlighted with a record number of new competitors (15), of which six were true rookies. As usual the on-track racing was incredible with battles throughout the field. All of the races were run on a dry track which means that we are yet to use Continental “wets” under race conditions (four years in a row).

After shining in CART, IndyCar and NASCAR, Québécois driver Patrick Carpentier will take part in his first FIA World Championship event as driver of the Marley’s Mellow Mood VW Polo Supercar for top team Marklund Motorsport at RX Canada which will be part of Le Grand Prix de Trois-Rivières next August 7th and 8th.
The 12 rounds of the championship will be broadcast on RDS and RDS2
After finding a live event to call home in Canada with Le Grand Prix de Trois-Rivières (GP3R), the new-for-2014 FIA World Rallycross Championship presented by Monster Energy (World RX) has found a spot in the French-language television packages of Canada with an agreement to have all 12 rounds of the championship season broadcast on the Réseau des sports (RDS) networks.
“For the first time in 45 storied editions, GP3R will be host to an FIA World Championship.”
IMG Motorsports, a division of IMG Worldwide, the global sports, fashion and media company, has announced that the first confirmed event outside of Europe of the inaugural FIA World Rallycross Championship in 2014 will be Le Grand Prix de Trois-Rivières, Québec, Canada.
