Frenchman Norman Nato concluded this week’s second pre-season testing at the top of the timesheets: he lapped the Spanish track in a 1:24.518 ahead of Arthur Pic and Nobuharu Matsushita. Rapax driver Pic was quickest in the afternoon session.

The 2016 season will be as competitive as ever
Today sees the first day of three days of testing at the Spanish circuit of Jerez and Racing Engineering and its two drivers, Frenchman Norman Nato and Briton Jordan King will be using the time to finalise their basic set-up for their cars and to practice race simulations in preparation for another very competitive GP2 season.

Three months out of the car is a long time, but I’ve just finished the first pre-season test for the 2016 GP2 Series at Barcelona. It was three days straight of driving, and now I feel as though I haven’t spent any time away from the car at all.
PREMA Racing’s ace tops session at Barcelona
Cold temperatures and sunny conditions graced the paddock this morning on Day 2 of pre-season testing at Circuit de Catalunya. When the pitlane turned green, Pierre Gasly and Status Grand Prix’s Meindert van Buuren were the first to feed onto the track, quickly followed by the rest of the drivers.
The Tuscan team MM International Motorsport will participate in the Auto GP Formula Open Championship with two drivers
The team owner, Armando Mangini, will drive a F3000 (2002). Mangini is a veteran of racing. He raced in the Prototype and, over the last five years, in the championship Boss GP with a Dallara GP2 and with a Lola B02 / 50-Zytek.
The 2016 GP2 season gets underway today, Wednesday the 9th of March, with all the GP2 teams attending the Circuit de Catalunya in Barcelona for three days of testing. For this year Racing Engineering will be running Jordan King who raced with the team last season and their new signing the Frenchman Norman Nato.
First three-day pre-season test session opens tomorrow in Spain
The 2016 GP2 Series officially kicks off tomorrow with the first test session of the year at the Circuit de Catalunya in Spain. Teams and drivers have gathered for three days, from Wednesday 9th to Friday 11th, in order to prepare for the twelfth season in the category which will open on May 13th in Barcelona, alongside the Formula One Grand Prix.
