Racing Engineering to run Louis Delétraz and Gustav Malja at the Abu Dhabi post-season testing

November 30th to December 2nd

Racing Engineering logo Three days after the 2016 GP2 season ends all the teams will be back in action in Abu Dhabi for the annual post-season test that starts on Wednesday, 30th November and finishes at the end of Friday, 2nd December. We are pleased to reveal that the two drivers who will be running in the Racing Engineering GP2 cars for this three-day test are Switzerland’s Louis Delétraz and Sweden’s Gustav Malja. The last round of the 2016 GP2 Series was a mixed weekend for the Racing Engineering team

Racing Engineering Saturday’s Sprint Race saw Norman Nato and Jordan King finish 7th and 8th but, with Norman qualifying 5th, the young Frenchman was hoping to finish on the podium but sadly an electrical problem that afflicted him during the race which caused an engine misfire and prevented his DRS from working meant that he lost positions rather than gain any.

Round 2 post feature race penaltiesFollowing today’s feature race at Monte Carlo, it was found that PREMA Racing’s Antonio Giovinazzi had left the track at Turn 10 and gained an advantage during the event. Therefore, the Italian was handed a 5 second time penalty which has been added to his elapsed race time.
