Force India expects Ferrari to move on Fisichella
Despite the uncooperativeness of the Indian sports ministry, Vijay Mallya is sure plans for a grand prix in the country remain on track. Following a request for funding by the organisers of a 2011 round of the world championship, the government department ruled that formula one is in fact not a sport.
Media reports say construction of a circuit in Delhi is underway
The organisers of an Indian grand prix are seeking government funds to push ahead plans for the inaugural race in 2011. Sameer Gaur, boss of the promoters JPSK Sports, told the Times of India: “Yes, we went to the (sports) ministry seeking government concessions. If need be, we will go again.”
