Monza Top-10 Launches Chudleigh’s NEC Season
Luke Chudleigh opened his Formula Renault 2.0 Northern European Cup (NEC) campaign at Italy’s Autodromo Nazionale Monza with a points paying finish in Sunday’s race. The Canadian claimed the checkered flag in tenth as he made his competitive debut with Britain’s Fortec Motorsports at the first double-header round of the NEC series this weekend, 10th-12th April.
Colombian driver Andrés Méndez will join Zele Racing for the 2015 Auto GP season.
The 22-year-old from Bogotá, whose father and grandfather were both racing drivers, began kart racing in 2008. Former F1 driver and Le Mans winner Allan McNish discovered the teenager, and he was selected to join the Ferrari Driver Academy.
Canadian Open-Wheel Racer to contest Kart Series
Like many Canadian’s before him, Luke Chudleigh is opting to head south to sunnier climates to keep sharp over the winter, the 19-year-old today confirming he will participate in the first two rounds of the 2015 Florida Winter Tour, one of the premier kart series in North America.
Canadian Racer’s European campaign starts with Imola debut
Canada’s Luke Chudleigh returns to European race action this weekend, Friday 4th – Sunday 6th April, as the opening double-header round of the 2014 Formula Renault 2.0 ALPS Series kicks off at the Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari, near Imola, Italy.

Dutch team get entry for the Series in 2013 and sign first driver
GP2 Series organisers are pleased to announce that MP Motorsport have been allocated an entry for the 2013 season. The Dutch outfit will join the GP2 field next year and will run their GP2/11 cars for the first time during the opening 2013 pre-season testing session of the Series.
Canadian Gianmarco Raimondo will be in the Spanish team’s cars
Just five weeks after the last race of the 2012 GP2 Series all the teams are back in action in Barcelona for the first of the two annual post-season tests. Racing Engineering will be giving four drivers the opportunity to drive their cars on the 4.655 km Spanish circuit that is a traditional venue for out of season testing. On Tuesday the 30th of October the Brazilian André Negrão and Canadian Gianmarco Raimondo will be in the Spanish team’s cars and on the following day, Wednesday the 31st, it will be the turn of Dutchman Nigel Melker and Argentinian Facundo Regalia.
Three contenders remain as title race goes into season finale at Monza
Markus Pommer took a dominant lights-to-flag victory during today’s (Sunday) second Formula Two race at the Hungaroring, finishing ahead of Mathéo Tuscher and Dino Zamparelli to push the championship battle into a season finale at Monza.
