The third edition of the Team Canada Scholarship will grow to include two young Canadian drivers.
The focus will continue to be the world renown Formula Ford Festival held at Brands Hatch, England in late October. After a very successful debut in 2011 with the first Canadian on pole for the final and leading the early laps, the program continued in 2012 and once again showcased the talent that Canada has in the junior formula car ranks.

With the announcement of who will fly the Team Canada Scholarship colors at the Formula Ford Festival a week away, there is one last chance for the drivers to impress the selection committee and sponsors.

The search for the first driver to win the inaugural Team Canada Scholarship to the Festival is heating up. For the principals of BGR Sports and Entertainment, (BGR S & E), Gerry Merz, Dave Matkovich, and Brian Graham, founders of Team Canada Scholarship, the task of selecting the driver to represent Canada at the 2011 Formula Ford Festival at Brands Hatch is in full swing.

The highest placed American drivers under 20 years-old in both the F2000 Championship Series and the F1600 Formula F Championship Series prior to the conclusion of the season (following F2000 at Mosport and F1600 at Mid-Ohio) will be included among the list of candidates for prestigious Team USA Scholarships.

The British Formula Ford runner-up and Rookie of the Year failed to finish a lap in the Final, when an overheating engine forced the American into pitlane after a superb start.
