Exclusive Autosport wins F1600 Formula F Championship Series
Exclusive Autosport claimed the F1600 Formula F Championship Series title this weekend courtesy of a third place finish for Australia’s Scott Andrews in the opening race of the season finale hosted at Pittsburgh International Race Complex, Saturday 17th – Sunday 18th October.
Thomas McGregor was sixth fastest, while Sam Chastain made his 2015 F1600 debut
To kick off the season finale weekend for the F1600 Formula F Championship Series at Pittsburgh International Race Complex, it was Team Pelfrey teammates Ben Auriemma and Robert Megennis leading the time charts in two 30-minute practice sessions.
Exclusive Autosport heads to the Pittsburgh International Race Complex this weekend, 16th-18th October, in the hopes of wrapping up its first title in the United States as the F1600 Formula F Championship Series concludes with Rounds 19-21.
Scott Andrews triumphs from pole in F1600 showdown
Exclusive Autosport captured one of Canadian open-wheel racing’s most coveted trophies last Saturday, 12th September, as Scott Andrews won the Al Craighead Memorial Can-Am Cup at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park, Ontario – the opening race of the Toyo Tires F1600 Series season finale.
Podium finishes a highlight from frantic F1600 races
Round 6 of the F1600 Formula F Championship brought a mixture of highs and lows for Exclusive Autosport as the team showcased its pace in practice but was left frustrated by this weekend’s triple-header racing at the New Jersey Motorsports Park, New Jersey, 28th-30th August.
The triple-header event runs Friday through Sunday, with a competitive field expected at the Thunderbolt course
Andrews and McGregor boosted by Canadian F1600 Outing
Fresh off the back of a pair of 1-2 finishes in F1600 action in Canada with Scott Andrews and Thomas McGregor, Exclusive Autosport heads to New Jersey Motorsports Park for Round 6 of the F1600 Formula F Championship Series this weekend, 28th to 30th August.
In the morning he triumphed in a close battle, and later in the day, he broke away to cross the line first.
Andrews finished second by .069 seconds with Cane right behind in third place to complete the podium
Skylar Robinson drove his No. 12 K-Hill Motorsports Mygale/Honda inside Jordan Cane in turn one on the last lap, and then held off a pass from Scott Andrews at the flag stand to take his first F1600 Formula F Championship Series victory in round 13 of the season taking place on Saturday evening at the new Pittsburgh International Race Complex.
Robinson had the fastest lap of the day with his morning’s 1:47.175, while Cane was quick in a slower afternoon session at 1:47.822.
Skylar Robinson and Jordan Cane found themselves on the top of each practice session ahead of the F1600 Formula F Championship Series triple-header weekend taking place at the new Pittsburgh International Race Complex.
Dussault and Mällinen back in action in Quebec
Exclusive Autosport will be back on the grid for the Formula Tour 1600 Series double-header at this weekend’s Grand Prix Trois-Rivieres in Quebec, 31st July to 1st August, with Canada’s Patrick Dussault and America’s Max Mällinen racing for the official North American factory Spectrum team.
Alberta teenager triumphs in F1600 at ICAR
Exclusive Autosport returned to the Formula Tour 1600 Championship at the weekend, 4th-5th July at Circuit ICAR, and duly swept the double-header event courtesy of an outstanding rookie performance from Alberta’s Parker Thompson.
