NASCAR Pinty’s: Lapcevich one step closer to title

Rookie wins Lucas Oil 250 at St. Eustache for Third Win

2016-09-10_68039 Sometimes a driver needs a good car and a good call by his crew chief to win a race. Cayden Lapcevich got that and more Saturday at Autodrome St. Eustache to win the Lucas Oil 250. The 16-year-old’s third win of the season also moved the Grimsby, Ontario, driver one step closer to winning the 2016 NASCAR Pinty’s Series championship.

Kevin Lacroix completes winning run at CTMP

2016-08-13-1593 For DJ Kennington and the #17 Castrol Edge Dodge team round number eight of the NASCAR Pinty’s Series, The Grand Prix of Trois-Rivieres, was a painful one.  Kennington battled through back pain with the help of a Chiropractor and the team battled through a number of adversities to capture a top ten result.

NASCAR Pinty’s Ecko Unlimited 100 at Circuit ICAR in Mirabel

2016:07:03_14:58:33_0806 Driver Jocelyn Fecteau, of Mont-St-Grégoire, Québec, made his return to the track this past weekend at Mirabel’s Circuit ICAR, to contest his first race of the season in the Pinty’s Canadian NASCAR series. Without much preparation leading up to the race, he knew the race would be challenging but that the event would serve as good seat time ahead of the Grand Prix de Trois-Rivières, next month.

2016-07-03_54620 Not even a late-race caution could slow Andrew Ranger’s return to Victory Lane at Circuit ICAR. A year after coming up second on the 2.113-mile, 14-turn road course on the grounds of Montreal-Mirabel International Airport, Ranger dominated Sunday’s Ecko Unlimited 100. It was the fourth win in six races at Circuit ICAR, and extended his NASCAR Pinty’s Series career wins record to 22.

The series contested its milestone 100th all-time race on June 13 and the following week saw Alex Tagliani lap the field in victory – a series first. Sunday then saw Quebec native Kevin Lacroix dominate the first-caution free race in Canadian Tire Series history and triumph in the Ecko Unlimited 100 at Circuit ICAR.

Andrew Ranger runs second at ICAR

2015:07:05_15:23:49_0098Andrew Ranger and the #27 Mopar Parts Dodge team were looking for a bounce back weekend at round number four of the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series this past weekend at Circuit ICAR in Mirabel, Quebec. After struggling initially during practice Ranger and the team bounced back with a strong race effort and claimed a second place finish.

Starting from the pole, the racer from Lachenaie, Quebec was overtaken on lap 3 by Kevin Lacroix of Saint-Eustache who went on to win the 30-lap race by 0.869 seconds ahead of Andrew Ranger.
