Didier Schraenen returns as spokesperson for the event
The Grand Prix Ski-Doo of Valcourt announces that FOX has joined Bombardier Racing Products’ Ski-Doo brand as the presenting sponsor of the Great Quebec Winter Motorsport Classic. For over three decades, FOX has been the industry leader in the design and development of high performance shock absorbers and racing suspension products for snowmobiles, motorcycles, ATVs and UTVs, mountain bikes and off-road cars and trucks.

A look back at a challenging year
Nathan Blok, the 18-year old 2011 Formula 1600 Champion, claimed his second consecutive Formula Tour 1600 Championship despite formidable odds against him. Motorsports can easily consume the largest budgets and Team Blok runs solely on sponsorships and economic conditions make season-long deals hard to come by.

A well-known on-air personality in Québec, Didier Schraenen is also very active in the world of motor racing, a sport in which he excels, as his record of race wins and championship titles indicates.

Double podium finishes at Tremblant cap season
Nathan Blok, the 17-year old racing driver from the Pembroke area, has won the 2011 Formula 1600 Championship with two podium finishes at the final race weekend. Returning to the famed Circuit Mont-Tremblant track, Blok raced his #5 Boston Pizza/Mr. Lube Van Dieman F-1600 in the Formula Libre class as part of the Autumn Classic on the historic track north of Montréal. Blok was leading Olivier Bonnet by two points going into the weekend.

Solid start to Formula Tour 1600 Championship
Nathan Blok, a 17-year old racing driver, endured difficult weather and slippery track conditions at the famed Mont-Tremblant race course this past weekend. The opening double-race weekend of the Formula Tour 1600 championship saw a large field of 31 cars take to the rain-soaked course over the two days.

Another race event added to the Grand Prix schedule
A gathering of nearly 40 drivers, that will include a mix of seasoned veterans and young hopefuls, will once again line up on the starting grid of Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, next June 10, 11 & 12, for a round of the 2011 Formula 1600 Series schedule. Octane Racing Group, promoter of the event has announced today the return of one of the Montréal crowd favourite open-wheel series at the Grand Prix du Canada.

Fierce competition today at Kart-O-Mania
Thirteen team took the green flag today for the ”Classic” portion of the 4 Hours Pole-Position kart race. This portion of the event is reserved to race drivers and many Quebecers were present to compete in what is becoming a yearly winter time classic gathering for friends of the sport.

Sunday morning at the NAPA 200, the FormulaTour1600 race was held at 10am prior to the NASCAR Canadian Tire NAPA 100 and the main event, the NASCAR Nationwide NAPA 200 at Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve. 
The sun is back this Sunday morning at Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve on Ile Notre-Dame for the presentation of the third edition of the NASCAR Nationwide NAPA 200 that will be preceeded by the NASCAR Canadian Tire NAPA 100.
