ART Grand Prix driver claims second GP2 pole position

GP2 - Sergey Sirotkin (ART Grand Prix) Sergey Sirotkin was not to be denied today: quickest in free practice, the Russian ace kept the pressure on his rivals during the qualifying session at Monte Carlo by setting a blazing laptime of 1:19.186 in Group B and claiming pole position. Although Norman Nato had been fastest in Group A earlier, his personal best was bettered by seven tenths by Sirotkin. The Frenchman will start from the front row in tomorrow’s feature race. GP2 - Alex Lynn Alex Lynn has opened his win account for 2016 with a dominant victory in this morning’s sprint race in Barcelona: the Briton made use of a quick getaway and some early overtakes for a lead he was never to relinquish, controlling the pace for victory ahead of Pierre Gasly and Jordan King.

GP2 - Round 1, Barcelona - Feature race top 3 Norman Nato has claimed his first GP2 victory in style, overtaking poleman Pierre Gasly late on in a dramatic season opener in Barcelona and holding on in a feature race which saw three safety car periods before the Frenchman was greeted by the chequered flag ahead of Nicholas Latifi and Gasly.

GP2 - Norman Nato (Racing Engineering) The GP2 Series field is back on track this week for the second 2016 pre-season test session at Circuito de Jerez, Spain. The paddock was greeted by blue skies but cold temperatures. When the pitlane turned green, it was Alex Lynn who fed onto the track first but he was closely followed by his teammate Nicholas Latifi and the rest of the pack.

GP2 - Sprint race cancelled due to barrier damage This afternoon’s sprint race at Yas Marina was cancelled due to substantial damage caused to the barriers after an accident on the first lap of the race. With the red flag shown on the first lap and the damage being unable to be repaired in time the event was closed, and no points will be awarded.

GP2 - Raffaele Marciello, Stoffel Vandoorne, Mitch Evans Stoffel Vandoorne has handed his team the perfect leaving gift by closing out his championship winning season with victory in the final feature race tonight in Abu Dhabi. His seventh win of the year also claimed the record for most wins in a season, to his obvious delight as he celebrated on the podium alongside Raffaele Marciello and Mitch Evans.
