New Mahindra signing excited by variety of season two technology
The opening official pre-season test at Donington this week was the first opportunity to compare the new powertrains introduced for season two. One of the eight new manufacturers is Mahindra, which has contracted McLaren to supply a revised version of its motor for its M2Electro, which made its public debut this week in the hands of Bruno Senna and new signing Nick Heidfeld.
Senna leads the way in second practice
Mahindra’s Bruno Senna went quickest in the dying stages of the second Monaco ePrix practice session to edge out Virgin Racing’s Jaime Alguersuari. Sebastien Buemi (e.dams-Renault) will start from pole position for this afternoon’s Monaco ePrix ahead of Audi Sport ABT’s Lucas di Grassi and Dragon Racing’s Jerome D’Ambrosio.

Bruno Senna and Nicolas Prost will team up at Prati-Donaduzzi in Brazilian Stock Car opening round
Twenty six years after, the outstandings brands Senna and Prost will be reunited again in the same team. Bruno Senna, nephew of three times Formula 1 champion Ayrton Senna, and Nicolas Prost, son of four times F1 king Alain Prost, will race for Prati-Donaduzzi squad in the opening round of Brazilian Stock Car series.
Bruno Senna has suggested he preferred to bow out of formula one than run around at the back of the grid with Caterham or Marussia.
Dropped by Williams after a single season together in 2013, the former Lotus and HRT driver announced this month that he has been signed up by Aston Martin’s Le Mans sports car team. “I want to make progress, not go back in my career, so it would not be easy to go to a smaller team like Caterham and Marussia,” the 29-year-old Brazilian told Radio Bandeirantes.
