Marc Marquez went quickest in Friday morning’s Free Practice 1 ahead of Lorenzo and Pedrosa with Rossi in fifth.
Repsol Honda’s Marquez put the Malaysian GP behind him by topping FP1 at the Gran Premio Motul de la Comunitat Valencia. The Spaniard set a 1’31.250, just over a second off his own Pole Record from last season (1’30.237), in sunny and dry conditions (Track temp. 22˚C) at the Comunitat Valenciana – Ricardo Tormo circuit.

The 2015 San Marino and Rimini Grand Prix was subjected to variable weather resulting in almost the whole field changing bikes twice over the twenty-eight lap contest. In the end, Repsol Honda Team’s Marc Marquez won the race ahead of Monster Yamaha Tech 3’s Bradley Smith in second place, and Marc VDS rider Scott Redding who claimed a maiden MotoGP podium by finishing in third place.

Jorge Lorenzo will start on pole position for tomorrow’s San Marino and Rimini Grand Prix after the Movistar Yamaha MotoGP rider set a new Misano Circuit Best Lap record of 1’32.146 to finish one-tenth of a second of his closest rival, Repsol Honda Team’s Marc Marquez.
