The world renowned Formula Ford Festival held at Brands Hatch Circuit in England is now in the history books.
Team Canada Scholarship driver Chase Pelletier acquitted himself well with a solid 14th place finish in the final. The results don’t really show the true success the young racer had in his first trip abroad as he enjoyed a week of close competition and fierce on track battles.
The selection for the Team Canada Scholarship is a difficult process as there are so many great young candidates.
2014 has been a stellar year for many of the nominees and in the end one driver stood out among his peers. In just his second season of racing, this years winner left his mark with his first Championship and multiple podiums across the two F1600 Championships in Ontario and Quebec.
In only its 3rd year the Team Canada Scholarship has certainly come a long way.
For the first time, two young Canadian talents made the trip overseas to represent Team Canada. Scott Hargrove from Surrey, BC and Zacharie Robichon of Ottawa ON both made very good impressions and represented Team Canada superbly.
The team now shifts its focus back to the Toyo Tires F1600 Championship

Although the results sheets will not reflect it, 2012 Team Canada Scholarship winner Garrett Grist enjoyed a strong showing at the internationally renowned British Formula Ford Festival, and quite ably displayed the quality of driving talent produced by this country.
