Leclerc fastest again on day two in Spielberg

ART Grand Prix’s Charles Leclerc ends on top at the Red Bull Ring GP3  test

GP3 - Charles Leclerc ART Grand Prix’s and Scuderia Ferrari Team Development driver Charles Leclerc clocked the best laptime again on day two of GP3 testing at the Red Bull Ring in Austria. His time of 1:19.437 was 0.012s quicker than Trident’s Antonio Fuoco which was set in the morning session. Campos Racing’s Steijn Schothorst posted the fastest time in the afternoon in a 1:20.671, a mere 0.037s ahead of Arden International’s Jack Aitken. Read the rest of this entry »

GP3 - Charles Leclerc (ART Grand Prix) ART Grand Prix’s and Scuderia Ferrari Team Development driver Charles Leclerc recorded the best laptime on day one at the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg, Austria today. His time of 1:19.171 – set in the morning session – was over half a second quicker than his teammate Nyck de Vries in second. GP3 - Kevin Jorg (DAMS) DAMS and Renault Sport Academy’s Kevin Jörg was quickest overall on the second and final day of pre-season testing today at the Circuit de Catalunya in Spain. The Swiss set his time in the afternoon session and finished one tenth ahead of his teammate Jake Hughes. GP3 - Matthew Parry (Koiranen GP) Koiranen GP’s Matthew Parry posted the quickest time this morning on a wet track at Circuit Ricardo Tormo in Valencia on the second day of pre-season testing. The Brit’s best lap was 0.064’s faster than ART Grand Prix’s Nirei Fukuzumi. Ferrari Driver Academy and fellow ART GP debutant Charles Leclerc clocked the fastest time in the afternoon session. Circuit Ricardo Tormo in Spain hosts the two day test session which runs on Thursday 7th April to Friday 8th April. The G3P race season starts next month in Barcelona on May 13-14-15.

GP3 - Antonio Fuoco (Trident)Trident and Ferrari Driver Academy’s Antonio Fuoco was quickest again on the third and final day of pre-season testing at Circuito Estoril in Portugal. The Italian’s best laptime of 1:27.293 was set in the morning session and was almost half a second faster than the best time set here last season with the previous generation car. Fuoco also led the way in the afternoon.

GP3 - Antonio Fuoco (Trident) helmet Trident and Ferrari Driver Academy’s Antonio Fuoco was quickest in both sessions on the second day of pre-season testing at Circuito Estoril in Portugal. The Italian driver’s best lap time of 1:27.991 set in the morning was two tenths quicker than ART Grand Prix’s Alexander Albon. With a laptime of 1:48.922, the Kiwi put his Campos car at the top of the timings – 0.004s ahead of DAMS’ Oliver Rowland. GP3 Series 2015 Vice Champion Luca Ghiotto completed the top three at the wheel of the Rapax car.

GP3 - Alex Palou (Campos Racing) On top of the world! ART Grand Prix and Mercedes junior Esteban Ocon clinched the GP3 crown today at the season finale in Abu Dhabi by finishing in third place, to take the title by eight points from Trident’s Luca Ghiotto. It was also celebration time for Campos Racing rookie Alex Palou who pocketed his debut GP3 win ahead of Carlin and Ferrari Academy Driver Antonio Fuoco.
