Trident’s Luca Ghiotto fastest in opening session of the season in Spain
Italian Luca Ghiotto set the pace in Free Practice at the Circuit de Catalunya for Round 1 of the 2015 GP3 Series. His best laptime of 1:36.238 was set in the final minute of the session. His Trident teammate Oscar Tunjo was second with Jenzer Motorsport’s Matheo Tuscher third.

The GP3 Series heads into its sixth season of racing and what a mouth-watering prospect we have ahead of us. New for 2015 is an extended Saturday race: an extra ten minutes has been added to race one which will provide more of a challenge to the twenty-four drivers and no doubt produce some epic tussles as the drivers’ battle with tyre degradation.
Carlin’s Jann Mardenborough fastest at Barcelona pre-season test
Brit Jann Mardenborough was in excellent form on the opening day of testing clocking the fastest time of the day and finishing P2 in the afternoon session. His best laptime of 1:34.910 remained unbeaten. Seb Morris (Status Grand Prix) topped the afternoon session.
Campos Racing driver on top at Circuit Ricardo Tormo
Spaniard Alex Palou posted the fastest time on day two of pre-season testing in Valencia. The Campos Racing driver edged out ART Grand Prix’s Marvin Kirchhöfer by a mere 0.012s with a blazing laptime of 1:20.880 set in the morning session. Jenzer Motorsport’s Pal Varhaug recorded the quickest time in the afternoon.
