The driver of the No. 15 Gehl/D-A Lubricant Honda for Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing showed it today by leading practice for the KOHLER Grand Prix in Indy car racing’s return to the fabled road course for the first time since 2007. Rahal set the fastest time around the 4.014-mile circuit of 1 minute, 43.0224 seconds (140.265 mph) in the second of two practice sessions on the day.

Six Verizon IndyCar Series drivers will participate in on-track testing Aug. 12 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway
The 9 a.m.-5 p.m. ET session will incorporate a Firestone tire test to be conducted with Marco Andretti in the No. 27 Andretti Autosport Honda and three-time Indianapolis 500 winner Helio Castroneves in the No. 3 Team Penske Chevrolet, along with four drivers participating in team testing on the 2.5-mile oval.

Seven Indy Lights Presented by Cooper Tires drivers, including the top three in the championship standings, will share a test day in Verizon IndyCar Series cars with Verizon IndyCar Series drivers Aug. 13 on the 2.385-mile, 12-turn Sonoma Raceway road course in Sonoma, Calif.
