According to authoritative media sources, Valtteri Bottas will definitely replace current Williams race driver Bruno Senna in 2013.
The news was reported from Brazil not only by Finnish broadcaster MTV3’s race commentator Oskari Saari, but also the respected Auto Motor und Sport correspondent Michael Schmidt, as well as others in the Interlagos paddock.
Alex Wurz had a hand in the layout of the new Circuit of the Americas, which has lauded by formula one drivers this weekend.
Wurz, now 38 and a sports car driver, contested 69 grands prix between 1997 and 2007, finishing on the podium three times. The Austrian now works as a ‘driver coach’ at Williams, serving alongside his friend and countryman Toto Wolff, the British team’s new shareholder and director.
Kimi Raikkonen may have been tired of his engineer’s radio messages, but he was also looking after his “brand” en route to Abu Dhabi victory.
