Canadian driver Alex Tagliani was the biggest mover of the day at the 100th running of the Indy 500, which was held Sunday at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Starting 33rd and last on the grid, Tagliani’s team used a different pit stop strategy, which allowed the Quebec native to lead the race on two occasions prior to crossing the finish line 17th overall.

NASCAR and Pinty’s Delicious Foods Inc. announced today a six-year series entitlement sponsorship agreement of NASCAR’s Canadian-based series. Beginning Jan. 1, 2016, the series will be known as the NASCAR Pinty’s Series.

The final round of the 2015 NASCAR Canadian Tire Series (NCATS) will be held Saturday, September 19 on the .375-mile Kawartha Speedway banked oval located in Fraserville near Peterborough, Ontario. Green flag for the 250-lap race will be dropped at 5 p.m. Two practice sessions will be held around noon with qualifying beginning 3:15 p.m.
