ACT teams ready for Bond Auto ACT Invitational

NHMS LogoACT logoThe American Canadian Tour completed their annual Test and Tune session at New Hampshire Motor Speedway on Wednesday, August 29. A total of 27 teams took advantage of the test session in preparation for the fourth annual Bond Auto ACT Invitational scheduled for Saturday, September 22. ACT returns to historic Sanair Super Speedway

The ACT Late Model Tour held its first ever event on April 26, 1992 when they joined the headlining ACT Pro Stock Tour at Sanair Super Speedway.

Ben Rowe SanairACT logoFor the first time in six years and just the second time in over a decade, the ACT Late Model Tour will return to where it all began, Sanair Super Speedway in St-Pie, Quebec, during the 2012 season. Wayne Helliwell, Jr. locks up second Ford Blue Oval title (+photos)

Ford Racing logoACT logoFor the second straight year, Wayne Helliwell, Jr. of Dover, NH and car owner Bruce Bernhardt won the Ford Blue Oval Cup Challenge and the $5,000 top prize. The E-Keys 4 Cars team competed in a total of 21 eligible events, which was the most of any of the fifteen Challenge teams.

Nick Sweet wins Bond Auto Labor Day Classic

Thunder RoadBond Auto Parts logoBarre’s own Nick Sweet led the final 15 laps after getting around Joey Polewarczyk, Jr., to win the 33rd annual Bond Auto Labor Day Classic at Thunder Road International Speedbowl in Barre, VT on Sunday, September 4. The 2010 “King of the Road” piloted his St. J Auto Ford Fusion to the win after taking two right side tires late in the event and slicing through the field. It was Sweet’s second ACT Late Model Tour win of the season, both coming at Thunder Road, and his first career Labor Day Classic win.

Jeff Taylor handed second ACT win at Oxford Plains Speedway

Brian Hoar adds Twin State to ACT Late Model Tour wins list

It is Hoar’s 31st career ACT win on 15 different tracks.

Seven-time ACT Late Model Tour Champion Brian Hoar of Williston, VT added Twin State Speedway in Claremont, NH to his ACT wins list on Saturday, July 9. Hoar led the final 32 laps of the 100 lap event coming from the sixth starting position.

ACT releases 2011 schedules for its two Late Model touring series; the American-based ACT Late Model Tour and the Canadian-based Série ACT Castrol Edge. Brian Hoar wins Riverside Can-Am

Hoar is the current ACT Late Model Tour point leader

Brian Hoar won the Circuit Riverside Speedway Can-Am combination Série ACT Castrol Edge and ACT Late Model Tour event on Saturday, August 14. Hoar, the current ACT Late Model Tour point leader, fought his way by current Série ACT Castrol Edge point leader Karl Allard on lap 94 and led the remainder of the event. Karl Allard wins Série ACT Castrol Edge 150 at Autodrome Chaudiere (+results, +photos)

Allard fought off 2009 champion Donald Theetge over the final 65 laps to earn the win.

2010 American Canadian Tour - ACTNewport, NH’s Mark Hayward earned his first career ACT Late Model Tour win at Twin State Speedway in Claremont, NH on Friday, July 30. Hayward took the lead from Twin State regular Aaron Fellows, who led the first 52 laps of the 100 lap event. Joey Polewarczyk, Jr. Earns Ford first ACT Tour Win

The top ten were the only cars to complete all 150 laps

2010 American Canadian Tour - ACTNH’s Joey “Pole” Polewarczyk, Jr. earned Ford its first ACT Late Model Tour win at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway in Scarborough, ME on Saturday, July 24.
