Abu Dhabi’s Yas Marina circuit played host to the final round in the sixth Maserati Trofeo World Series season
Frenchman Romain Monti was crowned champion as the series that began at Monza in 2010 came to an end. The last race was won by Giorgio Sernagiotto, making a return to drive for Team Red Dragon, flanked by Emanuele Smurra. Sernagiotto, from Veneto, headed a pack of four drivers who applied the pressure to the very end.

The Frenchman held a comfortable lead going into the race and got the better of second-placed Riccardo Ragazzi. He did so in the best way possible: taking Race 1 in this final round at Yas Marina, the circuit in Abu Dhabi (United Arab Emirates).

This, however, will not be the end of Maserati’s sporting activities: the GranTurismo MCs will be back on track in 2016. Next season they will be run by private teams and will compete in international GT4 series.
On track for the last test sessions of the 2015 season
As motorsport keeps running as quickly as a single-seater car on-track, the teams and drivers of the GP2 and GP3 Series will be back rolling once again just a few days after the completion of the 2015 season. A three-day session is scheduled on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th of December at the Yas Marina venue in Abu Dhabi.
Adderly Fong will test the Sauber C34-Ferrari during the Pirelli tyre test on 1st December following the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix weekend
The 25-year-old Chinese driver will be behind the wheel of the Sauber C34-Ferrari with the objective of completing 300 kilometres on the Yas Marina Circuit to qualify for the exention of his super licence extention.
