The dismal forecast for Sunday May 1 has forced Thunder Road Speedbowl to postpone the Merchants Bank 150
The race has been rescheduled for Sunday May 8, post time set for 2:00pm. More than 40 ACT Late Model teams were expected to try and qualify including defending 2015 ACT Champion Wayne Helliwell Jr. of Dover, NH, along with 2015 Merchants Bank champion Brad Babb and multi-feature winner Nick Sweet.
Packard’s best finish here in the American Canadian Tour spring race was a third place back in 2014
Coming off her sixth place finish at Lee USA Speedway this past weekend, Emily Packard and her 9x Northstar Fireworks/Packard Fuels team are ready to tackle the quarter mile high banked oval of Thunder Road.

After leaving the American Canadian Tour season opener last weekend with the car relatively unscathed, Emily Packard and the 9x Northstar Fireworks/Packard Fuels team made a mid-week decision to add the Governor’s Cup 150 to their season schedule.
The American Racer Three Star program will continue in 2016
The program is designed to recognize three teams in no particular order of performance that had outstanding races at ACT US tour events. There are no specific criteria for deciding who might receive the award of a free American Racer Tire (value $125.00), but a special effort by a team, exceptional race, just plain old hard luck, or other accepted reason to give the award is used to decide the recipients.

Eddie MacDonald and the Grimm Racing Team will open the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East season in the 5th annual Pittlite 125 at Bristol Motor Speedway on Saturday, April 16. Eddie Mac will pilot the Grimm Construction/Multiple Sclerosis Chevy in the first of the five race partial schedule the team will compete in this season.
