NASCAR logo Martin Truex Jr. won his third race of the season in last Sunday’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 400 at Chicagoland Speedway – the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup opener. Alex Labbé Scores Strong 3rd Place Finish At Kawartha

2016-09-10_66770 Used to front-row performances in practice and qualifying all season, Alex Labbé and the No 32 Can-Am/Kappa/Cyclops Gear/Lou’s Barbeque Ford were not satisfied with 4th and 6th place respectively in preparation for the 250 lap race on the short Kawartha oval. 2016-09-10_0171 Alex Tagliani finished eighth on Sunday in the 12th and final round of the NASCAR Pinty’s Series held at Kawartha Speedway in Fraserville, Ontario. Starting 10th, the Lachenaie, Quebec, driver did not perform to his standards and lost six positions in the early goings. 2016-09-10_0476With the quickest time of the first practice session, Alex Labbé found himself starting from pole position after qualifying was cancelled because of rain showers. Alex then dominated the first third of the Lucas Oil 250 aboard his Can-Am/Kappa/Cyclops Gear/Lou’s Barbeque No 32 Ford, before the lead pack caught up with him around lap 100.
