At the wheel of his Dimensions Doors/Novatech Acura RSX, Quebec driver Mathieu Audette once again excelled in the Canadian Touring Car Championship, held for the first time at the Circuit Mont-Tremblant. With a lap record during racing and two second place finishes, Mathieu proudly flew the Audette Racing Team flag. His brother, Rémy, invited by the Lombardi team to drive in the B-Spec category, also finished his two races on the podium.
Two races, two victories…
Quebec driver Mathieu Audette kicked off the 2012 Canadian Touring Car Championship season the best way possible. Kept busy in Ontario this weekend at the wheel of his Dimensions Doors/Novatech Acura RSX, Mathieu Audette earned the pole position during qualifying before capturing the victory in both of the double-header program’s races, resulting in an absolute triumph for the Audette Racing team.
Audette Racing Team 2012 program…
The Audette Racing Team will return to competition this season, contesting all rounds of the Canadian Touring Car Championship. While awaiting the build of a brand new car, brothers Mathieu and Rémy Audette will participate in a rotating program for a total of four races each, using the team’s Dimensions Doors/Novatech Acura RSX.
F2000 Championship Series…
This weekend, Rémy Audette became the first Québec driver to ever win the F2000 Championship Series. With a big lead heading into the final double-header of the season, Audette was not happy just earning sufficient points to solidify his spot at the top of the series. He dominated the practices and qualifying on his way to finishing on the podium for both races.
Naturally, he is eyeing much more than just merely the start !
Québec driver Rémy Audette is set to contest the last double-header of the F2000 Championship Series this weekend at the Watkins Glen circuit in the state of New York. Holding a very comfortable lead at the top of the driver standings, Audette only needs to take the start of one of the rounds in order to clinch the 2011 championship title.
Touring Car and F2000…
Mathieu and Rémy Audette will be at the Mosport track this weekend to take part in no less than four races, two for Mathieu in the Canadian Touring Car Championship and two for Rémy in the American open-wheel Formula 2000 series. This will be the only time this year that the two series will share the schedule, providing a unique occasion for the entire Audette Racing team from Blainville.
