2013 Canadian Touring Car Championship

After confirming driver and television host Benoît Gagnon’s return to the line-up for the upcoming Canadian Touring Car Championship (CTCC) season, the Lombardi Honda Racing Team announced today the recruitment of young driver Jérimy Daniel, who will be at the wheel of one of their Super Touring class Honda Civic Si’s for the duration of the season.














The Japanese carmaker pulled out of the sport after the 2008 season, amid the global financial crisis and the slump in new car sales. But Honda’s head of research and development Yoshiharu Yamamoto has told autocar.co.uk that the marque still sees F1 as an attractive platform. 











Loix celebrated his 41st birthday in his native Belgium last week. Although he has yet to finalise his programme for 2012 he says he has no intention of easing off the throttle.






Barely out of his FIA World Touring Car Championship (WTCC) SEAT Leon, which he used to bring home 16 points last weekend on the Hungaroring, Tiago Monteiro slid behind the wheel of the OAK Racing LMP1 to get ready for the 79th edition of the world’s most famous endurance race, the 24 Hours of Le Mans, which starts Saturday, June 11 at 3:00 p.m.
